The NBA released its second-half schedule for the 2020-21 season Wednesday, and has the Detroit Pistons playing 36 games in 67 days to close the 72-game regular season.

The Pistons’ second half kicks off March 11 at the Charlotte Hornets and March 13 at the Brooklyn Nets (see full schedule below). They begin their home slate March 15 in a two-game homestand against the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors (March 17).

After a road-heavy first half, Detroit will play at Little Caesars Arena more frequently in the second half: 20 games at home, 16 on the road. They close the season with a four-game homestand against the Chicago Bulls (May 9), Minnesota Timberwolves (May 11), Denver Nuggets (May 14) and Miami Heat (May 16). The Pistons don’t have any national TV games in the second half.

DEADLINE COMING: Which Detroit Pistons have most and least trade value

Their longest road trip will take place in early April with five games against the Oklahoma City Thunder (April 5), Nuggets (April 6), Sacramento Kings (April 8), Portland Trail Blazers (April 10) and Los Angeles Clippers (April 11).

The Pistons will play nine off their final 11 games at home, and could find some momentum leading into the play-in tournament, which will include the No. 7-10 seeded teams in each conference.

At 9-22, the Pistons have the worst record in the conference, second-worst overall behind Minnesota (7-25). If the Pistons were to stay at No. 2, they’d have a 14% chance of landing the No. 1 pick in a stacked 2021 NBA draft — the same odds as the No. 1 and No. 3 finishers.

NBA’s key dates for the rest of the season:

March 7: All-Star Game.

March 11-May 16: Second half of regular season.

March 25: Trade deadline.

May 18-21: Play-in tournament (7-10 seeds).

May 22-July 22: Playoffs.

In the first half, the Pistons are set to conclude 36 games in 72 days on March 4 at the New York Knicks, before heading into the All-Star break. Detroit’s remaining games in the first half: at New Orleans, vs. Sacramento and New York, at Toronto and New York.
