The Detroit Pistons announced fans can attend an open practice at Little Caesars Arena on Oct. 9. Doors open at 2 p.m. and the team will take the floor by 2:30 p.m. with the formal practice beginning at 3 p.m., according to the team.

Tickets to the practice are free and can be obtained via the Pistons website.

The Pistons feature many returning faces, but the most interesting piece will be rookie and No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham. Also new to the team are Kelly Olynyk, who might or might not be the team’s starting center, and Trey Lyles who will serve as a stretch power forward.

Returning faces include last year’s crop of rookies Killian Hayes, Isaiah Stewart, Saddiq Bey and Saben Lee as well as Olympic gold medalist Jerami Grant.

The open practice event will also feature the Pistons Entertainment Team, photo opportunities for fans with Pistons mascot Hooper, and the first 1,000 fans will receive a giveaway.

While the open practice will be fans’ first look at the latest Pistons team, the media will get their first chance to talk to the squad as part of Media Day, which is set for Monday, Sept. 27. Media Day sessions are often simulcast online, and DBB will be giving you the latest info.
