Due to an ongoing coronavirus outbreak within the Chicago Bulls, Tuesday’s game against the Detroit Pistons will be postponed to a later date, the NBA announced Monday. Thursday’s Bulls-Toronto Raptors game has also been postponed. It’s the league’s first postponement of the 2021-22 season.
The Bulls have 10 players in the NBA’s health and safety protocols, including stars Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan and additional staff members. It leaves them without the required eight players necessary to play. The Pistons have yet to have a player enter the NBA’s protocols this season.

Detroit had multiple games postponed last season. Through 26 games, the Pistons are 4-22 overall with 12 consecutive losses, and have the NBA’s worst record. They return to action Thursday against the Pacers (12-16) in Indianapolis.
The Pistons host the Bulls on March 9 in the final scheduled game between the teams this season. The Bulls swept a home-and-home to open the season in October.
