NBA draft 2023: How to watch, TV channel, streaming info, order of picks and live updates

Detroit Free Press

Here’s how to watch the NBA draft 2023, with TV channel start time and streaming info, draft order, instant live updates and breaking news leading into and during Thursday’s grand evening in Brooklyn, New York.

The San Antonio Spurs own the first overall pick and will take French big man Victor Wembanyama. The Charlotte Hornets sit at No. 2, with the Portland Trail Blazers picking third, Houston Rockets fourth and Detroit Pistons fifth for the second consecutive year. They took Purdue guard Jaden Ivey at No. 5 a year ago.

Among the Pistons’ potential choices Thursday are 20-year-old Overtime Elite wing Ausar Thompson – who is the sudden oddsmakers favorite – Villanova freshman wing Cam Whitmore and Houston freshman power forward Jarace Walker. A trade-down is also plausible.

Expect plenty of pick swapping Thursday and perhaps a few big trades, with NBA free agency looming June 30.
