The NBA is finally back in Detroit!

Welcome to our Detroit Pistons preseason live updates and score from the game vs. the New York Knicks on Friday night. This is the first game action for the Pistons since March 11. It’s a new-look roster after general manager Troy Weaver made big moves in the draft and free agency. Only four players remain from last season’s 15-man roster.

Expect rookie Killian Hayes, the No. 7 pick in November’s draft, to start at point guard for the Pistons, alongside frontcourt free agency acquisitions Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee.

The Pistons open the season Dec. 23 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Take a look at the entire first-half schedule, and read our takeaways from the schedule.
