Some people drink beer when their favorite team wins, others pour it on themselves.
Nicolas Henkel, a Detroit Pistons fan who just loves NBA victories in February, apparently did both Tuesday night after the Pistons upset the visiting Brooklyn Nets.
“This is the greatest worst team of all time, this is so stupid, we have no business,” Henkel rants before filling his mouth with Miller Lite foam.

The Pistons (6-18) were led by Jerami Grant’s 32 points and Delon Wright’s 22 points and eight assists against the Nets (14-12), who were missing Kevin Durant (COVID-19 protocols).
But Detroit fans appreciated Henkel’s efforts, too. Tuesday’s video garnered about 1,500 interactions on Twitter, with NBA reporters replying to it and noted Detroit rapper Danny Brown retweeting it. Henkel regularly posts recap videos following games.
The money quote of it all:
“Where your favorite team goes to die, the Motor City! The Detroit Pistons continue their tear through the league’s best knocking off the Brooklyn Nets, one of the most high powered offenses in the league! Ladies and gentlemen, we did it!”
He has a point there. The Pistons don’t win often, but when they do it’s against pretty good teams: the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns and defending-champion Los Angeles Lakers are each expected to make the playoffs and have taken an L to Detroit. The Miami Heat — who you may remember made the NBA finals last season but are struggling this year — fell victim to the rebuilding Pistons, too.

Maybe the Pistons can keep that same energy when their schedule eventually lightens up. It’s a safe bet Henkel will.
