NBA Trade Deadline Open Thread: Nikola Vucevic traded to Chicago

Detroit Bad Boys

Today is NBA Trade Deadline day! We have our first major trade with the Orlando Magic surprising everyone by sending All-Star Nikola Vucevic to the Chicago Bulls for Wendell Carter Jr., Otto Porter and two top-four protected first-round picks.

We’ve also had a Detroit Pistons trade with Delon Wright getting sent to the Sacramento Kings for Cory Joseph and two future second-round picks.

I figured it would be nice to keep an open thread open for non-Pistons related moves as a home base for trade deadline day.

It certainly seems like the Magic are primed for more moves after trading their presumptive franchise player. Evan Fournier and Aaron Gordon are surely on the way out and Terrence Ross might not be far behind.

This move also has implications for the tanking race as Orlando Magic looks like they are tearing it down to the studs and primed for a bottom-two finish in the standings.
