It is a new era of Detroit Pistons basketball.

General manager Troy Weaver has turned over the entire 15-man roster in less than two years on the job. The addition of No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham, a player with guard skills, forward size and unlimited potential, and a slew of other young players have people excited about this team’s future for the first time in a long time.

This season, the Pistons have high hopes despite coming off a 20-52 season and competing in a deep Eastern Conference.

To get you ready for the Pistons and the NBA season, which begins Tuesday night, we’re holding a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

The Pistons, who went 2-2 in the preseason all without Cunningham (ankle sprain), open the 2021-22 regular season schedule with a home-and-home against the Chicago Bulls — Wednesday in Detroit and Saturday in Chicago.
