As the Detroit Pistons continue to navigate a COVID-19 outbreak, they added a familiar face Sunday to help fill out their depleted roster.
Motor City Cruise wing Deividas Sirvydis signed a 10-day contract with the Pistons, the team announced. The 37th pick of the 2019 draft, Sirvydis was acquired by the Pistons on draft night and played 20 games with the organization last season after spending the 2019-20 season in Europe.

In 14 games with the Cruise this year, Sirvydis is averaging 12.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and two assists.
The move comes after the Pistons lost two more players — Cory Joseph and Josh Jackson — to the NBA’s health and safety protocols Sunday morning. Cade Cunningham entered the protocols last Wednesday, and he was joined by Killian Hayes, Isaiah Stewart, Saben Lee and Rodney McGruder on Thursday. Trey Lyles was added to the list Saturday.
With Sirvydis in tow, the Pistons have nine healthy players on the roster. They’ve signed three other Cruise players — Cheick Diallo, Derrick Walton Jr. and Cassius Stanley — to 10-day deals since Wednesday. Saddiq Bey, Frank Jackson, Hamidou Diallo, Luka Garza and two-way forward Jamorko Pickett are the remaining active players on the main roster.
Jerami Grant (right thumb surgery recovery), Kelly Olynyk (left knee sprain), Isaiah Livers (recovered from surgery) and two-way forward Chris Smith (right knee injury recovery) are also out for the Pistons.
