We’re officially in the thick of the offseason.

The Detroit Pistons traded Jerami Grant to the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday for cap space and a 2025 first-rounder from the Milwaukee Bucks, and followed that by selecting Jaden Ivey fifth overall and trading for 13th overall pick Jalen Duren during Thursday’s draft.

They’re positioned to be major players in free agency and are linked to Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton and Dallas Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson. They could make additional trades. They’re one of the most interesting teams of the summer.
